米Pfizer社は2016年8月24日、英AstraZeneca社の感染症を対象とする低分子化合物の開発・商業化権を取得することで合意した。主に米国以外で後期開発段階にある候補化合物で、EUで新たに承認を取得した「Zavicefta」（ceftazidime-avibactum）、既に販売されている「Merrem/Meronem」（meropenem）と「Zinforo」（ceftaroline fosamil）、および臨床開発中のaztreonum-avibactum（ATM-AVI）とCXLの権利が含まれる。
