ミヤリサン製薬は、2005年3月に米Osel社に同社の生菌製剤である「ミヤBM」（酪酸菌（宮入菌）製剤）を導出。現在、Osel社が米国での開発を手掛けている。2016年7月7日、ミヤリサン製薬の事業戦略部部長兼東京研究部部長の高橋志達氏に開発状況について聞いた。

英Adaptimmune社は2016年8月3日、癌抗原NY-ESO標的T細胞療法「SPEAR」の粘液型円形細胞脂肪肉腫（MRCLS）を対象とする大規模臨床試験について、米食品医薬品局（FDA）から部分差し止め通告を受けたと発表した。現在、本試験の患者登録を開始している試験機関はない。
