理化学研究所環境資源科学研究センター（理研CSRS）合成ゲノミクス研究グループの松井南グループディレクターらとマレーシアUniversiti Sains Malaysia（USM、マレーシア科学大学）化学生物学研究所のAlexander Chong Shu-Chien教授らは、天然ゴムの生産用に植林・栽培されている樹木であるパラゴムノキについて、質の高いドラフトゲノムを得た成果をNature Publishing Groupのオープンアクセス誌である英Scientific Reports誌で2016年6月24日に発表した。2013年から日本とマレーシアの国際共同研究チームで取り組んできた成果。論文の筆頭著者のMUSのNyok Sean Lau博士はかつて理研で研究を行っていた研究者で現在も理研の客員を兼任している。理研CSRSの蒔田（中井）由布子研究員、川島美香テクニカルスタッフらと共に解析を行った。

まずは恒例の機能性表示食品の届け出公開情報から。この1週間では、2016年6月21日(火)に1件、届け出情報が追加公表されました。味覚糖の「贅沢なOFF（オフ）のど飴」。届出番号は「B8」、届出日は2016年4月27日です。難消化性デキストリン（食物繊維）を配合した飴で、「難消化性デキストリン（食物繊維）は糖の吸収をおだやかにすること、脂肪の吸収を抑えること、おなかの調子を整えることが報告されている」と表示します。同社はこの件についてニュースリリースをまだ出していません。
