Abbvie社、新たな癌免疫治療候補ARGX-115の開発でargenx社と協力  from 日経バイオテクONLINE  (2016-4-25 0:00)

癌と重症の自己免疫疾患に対する治療用抗体を開発しているベルギーargenx社と、世界的なバイオ医薬品会社である米AbbVie社は、2016年4月20日、ヒトT-regの免疫抑制作用を阻害する抗GARP抗体製剤ARGX-115の開発と商品化を目的として協力すると発表した。

まずは機能性表示食品の届け出件数から。この1週間では今週火曜日（2016年4月19日）に7件（届出日は全て3月29日）追加され、合計296件になりました。近く300件突破ですね。この中でおもしろいのは、キリンビバレッジの飲料です。機能性関与成分は、テアニンとクエン酸。このうちクエン酸は、大阪市立大学や理化学研究所などで国のプロジェクトとして推進された抗疲労プロジェクトの成果を活用したものです。

今年に入って、武田薬品工業やエーザイが今後、それぞれ研究開発領域を絞り込んで投資を行うことが明らかになりました。武田は消化器、癌、精神神経の3領域に、エーザイは癌と中枢の2領域に集中して投資効率を上げるという決断です。世界的にみても、スイスNovartis社と英GlaxoSmithKline（GSK）がワクチン事業と抗癌剤事業との交換を行ったり、ドイツBayer社が米Merck社の大衆薬事業を買収するなどの洋の東西を問わず、戦略分野を絞る再編が目立ちます。
