ゲノム研究黎明期の巨星、慶応大名誉教授の清水信義氏が死去  from 日経バイオテクONLINE  (2015-6-15 5:57)

慶應義塾大学医学部名誉教授でヒトゲノム計画を牽引したリダーの1人、清水信義氏が2015年6月5日、胆管がんのため死去した。73歳。偲ぶ会の開催が7月に予定されている。ヒトゲノム計画では、ヒト21番染色体と22番染色体の解読に中心的な役割を果たした。一般市民への啓発に力を注ぐ一方、研究予算配分の不合理を舌鋒鋭く批判するなど幅広く活躍。間違いなく日本のゲノム研究黎明期の巨星の1人だった。
