東京大学分子細胞生物学研究所附属エピゲノム疾患研究センターの白髭克彦教授と坂東優篤助教、東京大学大学院農学生命科学研究科の南野雅博士課程大学院生らは、コヒーシン蛋白質が束ねたDNAを固定化するために必要なコヒーシンアセチル化酵素の機能を解明し、Current Biology誌オンライン版で2015年6月4日（日本時間6月5日）に発表した。コヒーシンの変異は特に血液がんの発症に関与することから、コヒーシンアセチル化酵素の阻害剤は、新たな血液がん治療薬の開発に寄与し得るといえそうだ。

青森県立保健大学大学院健康科学研究科の岩井邦久教授らは、リンゴ由来ペクチンをケルセチンと同時摂取すると、ケルセチンの吸収量が増えてケルセチンのLDL酸化抑制能を増強できることを、グリコ乳業商品開発研究所と共同で見いだした。さらに、この作用とフラボノイドの構造との相関性も解明した。パシフィコ横浜（横浜市西区）で2015年5月14日から18日に開かれた第12回アジア栄養学会議（ACN2015）/第69回日本栄養・食糧学会大会で5月15日午後に、この成果を2題続けてポスター発表した。
