キリンは東京大学との共同研究により、アルツハイマー型認知症(AD)の原因物質とされる脳内のアミロイドβ沈着を抑制する成分2つを、カマンベールチーズから見いだいした。キリンR&D本部基盤技術研究所の阿野泰久研究員と東京大学大学院農学生命科学研究科獣医学専攻の中山裕之教授らが、論文2報をPLOS ONE誌で2015年3月12日に発表した。成果の一部は、2014年7月にデンマークで開かれたAlzheimer's Association International Conferenceで発表したものだ。
