ちょっと前のシンポジウムで、先端医療振興財団臨床研究情報センターの福島雅典センター長が、次のようなことを指摘していました。「『大学での新規医薬品、医療機器の開発治験、大学からのイノベーション創出は無理である。また、アカデミア発シーズは市場規模の小さいニッチばかりで、ブロックバスター級はとうてい望めない』という説は全て嘘。ザーコリやオプジーボなど日本のアカデミア発で大型品になりそうな画期的新薬はいくつもある」。
