尿路上皮癌は遺伝子発現プロファイルにより、化学療法感受性が高く、血管新生阻害が有効な可能性があるタイプや化学療法抵抗性で骨転移が起こりやすいタイプ、化学療法感受性があり、FGFR異常が認められるタイプの3つのサブタイプに分けられ、特徴に応じて治療戦略を変える必要性が示唆された。2月26日から28日まで米国オーランドで開催されているGenitourinary Cancers Symposium（ASCO GU2015）で、米MD Anderson Cancer CenterのArlene O Siefker-Radtke氏が発表した。

昨日木曜日（2月26日）は都内で、国立医薬品食品衛生研究所の研究者10人が発表した研究成果発表会を取材しました。この発表会の名称はかなり長くて、「平成26年度厚生労働科学研究委託費・創薬基盤推進研究事業『医薬品・医療機器の実用化促進のための官民共同研究の進捗と展望』研究成果発表会」。ヒューマンサイエンス振興財団が主催で、およそ100人近くが集まったとのことです。
