花王が、上部消化管のK細胞から分泌されるインクレチンであるGIP(グルコース依存性インスリン分泌刺激ポリペプチド)の上昇を抑制する食品成分について相次ぎ特許を取得している。2014年7月11日登録の特許2件に続き、2014年10月31日に第3弾の特許が登録された。
