2014年10月6日から7日に第4回ゲノム編集研究会が広島国際会議場(広島市)で開催され、口頭発表24件と、ポスター発表33件が行われ、228人が参加した。2014年10月初めに論文発表された哺乳動物の電気穿孔TAKE法の成果(京都大学と広島大学、関連記事1)や2014年9月に論文発表されたジャガイモの代謝工学の成果(理化学研究所、キリン、東京工業大学、大阪大学、広島大、日本大学、千葉大学、関連記事2)などの最新の論文発表成果が紹介された他、論文発表はこれからの成果も多数発表された。
