オンコセラピー・サイエンスは2014年9月24日取締役会を開き、代表取締役社長に前京都大学医学研究科研究員の森正治氏が就任することを決議した。代表取締役社長だった山本和男氏は、取締役管理本部長に異動した。

1982年創立の免疫生物研究所は、07年3月に大阪証券取引所ヘラクレス市場（現在はJASDAQグロース市場）に上場を果たした。しかし、実験動物を供給する米Taconic Farms社との契約が2010年9月に終了することになった。実験動物事業は3億円以上の売り上げがあったため、苦境に置かれた同社は、2010年10月に中期経営計画の下方修正を余儀なくされるのである。

材料科学技術振興財団（東京・世田谷、沖村憲樹理事長）は2014年9月24日、第14回山崎貞一賞の受賞者を4分野8人に決定したと発表した。バイオテクノロジーと関係が深い受賞者は、升島努・理化学研究所生命システム研究センター（QBiC）一細胞質量分析研究チームチームリーダーと、長瀬博・筑波大学国際統合睡眠医科学研究機構（IIIS）教授の2人。11月21日に日本学士院（東京・上野）で贈呈式と受賞者講演が行われる。
