米Amyris社とフランスMichelin社は2014年9月9日、両社が2011年に共同で開始した再生可能イソプレンの商業化プロジェクトにブラジルBraskem社が参加することになったと発表した。この新たなパートナーシップはタイヤや他のゴム製品の生産に使用される再生可能イソプレンの開発と生産を加速させることになる。Amyris社とMichelin社はイソプレンを生産する持続可能な方法を確立するため、さまざまなバイオマスを原料としてイソプレンを生産するバイオプロセスを開発し商業化することを目的にこのプロジェクトを開始した。
