Willow Garage社からのスピンアウト、 Savioke社 による
新しい自律搬送ロボット「SaviOne」がホテルで荷物運びをしています。
ロボットは高さ90cm、45kg。
タッチパネルで部屋番号を指定すると、その部屋まで自律移動して、
ドリンクやタオルのような軽いものであれば客まで届けられるというもの。
こちらがホテルに試験導入されているモデルの模様。
ただ詳細は良く分かりません。

来年に一般発売される予定のロボット「Pepper」の開発を担当した、
ソフトバンクの林要氏、柴田曉穂氏のお二人に行ったインタビューが、
オーム社「ロボコンマガジン」2014年9月号に掲載されました。
全８ページ、文字数は１万7000文字以上あります。
「９月に行われるテクニカルカンファレンスまで待って下さい」という話も多かったですが、
２時間程度、駆け足ではありましたが、現在の段階で話してもらえる話は、
ほぼ全て聞いたのではないかと思います。
長文かつ紙の雑誌媒体の記事で恐縮ですが、是非、お読み頂ければ幸いです。
