藻類や廃棄物を原料に利用したバイオ燃料の商業プラントが相次ぎ稼働している。一方、植物のセルロース分を使った第2世代バイオ燃料の大型プラントも、今年続々と操業を開始している。藻類や廃棄物由来のバイオ燃料はセルロース由来を置換するとは考えられず、補完する形で次第に実用化段階に入っていくとみられる。

トラスツズマブエムタンシンが乳がんの適応で承認され、世界中がADCに注目する。毒性や効果不十分で開発を諦めた候補化合物や抗体でさえリンカーにより新薬になる。より効果が高く毒性が低いという期待も兼ね備え、世界中で開発が進む。
