68.5cm、6kg。20自由度。
メインボードは IntelのNUC 「D54250WYK」を採用。
アクチュエーターはROBOTISのサーボモーター「DYNAMIXEL」シリーズを使用。
（内訳は12 x MX-106 / 6 x MX-64 / 2 x MX-28）
OSはLinux- Ubuntu 14.04 LTSか、組み込み LinuxのYocto Project Poky distribution。
このフレームワークはROBOTISとバージニア工科大学で開発されているオープンソースの「Darwin-OP framework」に基づき、
ROSやIntel XDKなどクロスプラットフォームでアプリケーションが開発できるよう拡張していくとのこと。
ハードウェアのみならずソフトウェアもオープンソースとしていくとされています。
このロボットの価格は16,000ドルとされてますが、
ロイター等では「インテルが発表した」というかたちで記事に。
ですが、掲載されている写真は、似てはいますが異なるロボットのものです。
価格も、こちらの記事では1,600ドルとなっています。
しかもまだ外装しかないようです。

第7回「大学は美味しい!!」フェアが、昨日（5月28日）から、新宿高島屋で始まりました。会期は来週火曜日（6月3日）まで。全国の大学が独自に開発した大学のブランド商品を集めた催し物で、例年たいへんなにぎわいです。注目度は高く、さっそく昨晩にTV番組で報道されていました。“論文の代わりに、製品で「食」の研究成果を伝える”というキャッチコピーもなかなかいけているのでは、と思います。
