現在、またも懲りずに理化学研究所の記者会見が開催される東京両国のファッションタウンの会議室におります。理化学研究所の研究論文の疑義に関する調査委員会（委員長渡部惇弁護士）は、小保方ユニットリーダーの不服申し立てを拒絶、再調査を行わないことを決定いたしました。既に、理化学研究所の理事会はこの決定を受け入れており、理研として小保方ユニットリーダーに通告、Nature誌の論文の取り下げも要請しました。今後はこの決定を受けて、理研の懲戒委員会で小保方ユニットリーダー、笹井副センター長、山梨大学の若山教授など関係者の処分が決定されます。今回の事件は、わが国の科学研究に関する信頼の失墜と騒動を拡大した理化学研究所の劣ったガバナンスにも問題があり、研究者だけでなく、理事会のメンバーの処分も避けられないと考えます。
