東京大学、CALMの発現を抑えるとアミロイドβ42の産生が抑制される  from 日経バイオテクONLINE  (2014-3-1 0:00)

東京大学大学院薬学系研究科の富田泰輔准教授、同医学系研究科の岩坪威教授らは、CALMたんぱく質の発現を抑制すると、アルツハイマー病発症に寄与する、凝集性の高いアミロイドβ（Aβ）たんぱく質であるAβ42の産生が抑制されることを、マウスを用いた実験で確認した。2014年2月28日にNature Communication誌に発表した。筆頭著者は東大薬学系研究科の大学院生の金津邦彦氏。

今日は、新宿で開かれた「FIRST EXPO 2014」を取材しました。FIRSTは、内閣府 ・総合科学技術会議（CSTP）が推進する最先端研究開発支援プログラムで、選ばれ た30人が中心研究者として、4年前の2010年3月から研究を開始し、今年3月で終了 します。予算額は合計1000億円です。 　また若手・女性研究者を対象とした次世代研究開発支援プログラムNEXTに329人 が選ばれ、こちらはほぼ3年間の研究が今年3月で終了します。このNEXTの予算額は 500億円です。
