日経バイオテク編集部バイオ横綱審議会・番付編成会議は2014年のバイオ企業番付を決定した。同番付は、2013年のバイオ関連国内企業（海外企業の日本法人を含む）の活動に基づき編成を決めている。重視しているのは、バイオ技術を用いた新製品の発売、研究開発活動の進捗、企業買収・合併、新規株式公開などだ。

アサヒ飲料、血糖と血中中性脂肪のW対策トクホ茶飲料「十六茶W」を4月15日発売  from 日経バイオテクONLINE  (2014-2-6 6:00)

アサヒ飲料は、食後の糖の吸収と食後の血中中性脂肪の上昇をおだやかにする特定保健用食品（トクホ）茶系飲料「アサヒ 食事と一緒に十六茶W（ダブル）」を2014年4月15日から全国発売すると、2月5日に発表した。同社はこのトクホの表示許可を2013年12月3日に消費者庁から取得した。このトクホの健康作用を発揮する配合成分は、難消化性デキストリン。難消化性デキストリンを配合した血糖と血中中性脂肪のW対策のトクホは、飲み物に溶かして摂取する粉末食品が2012年末に大塚製薬と松谷化学工業から発売されたが、飲料の発売はアサヒが初めて。難消化性デキストリンのこのWトクホは2011年3月にトクホ表示許可を取得した日本コカ・コーラの茶系飲料「からだすこやか茶W」が初めてだったが、まだ発売されていない。コカ・コーラは09年4月6日にトクホ表示許可を取得した食後血糖対策の「からだすこやか茶」を09年6月に発売し、現在も販売を継続している。
