オンコリスバイオファーマは大学や企業などから得た医薬品候補を活用する導入型創薬ベンチャーであり、検査薬事業も手掛ける。2004年に現社長の浦田泰生氏によって設立された。浦田氏は製薬会社（小野薬品工業、日本たばこ産業）で20年以上の医薬品開発経験を持つ。主力開発品は、HIV感染症治療薬OBP-601、腫瘍溶解ウイルス「テロメライシン」（OBP-301）、分子標的抗がん剤OBP-801で、OBP-601の開発が最も進んでいる。OBP-601は米Bristol- Myers Squibb（BMS）社に導出されており、フェーズIIbを実施中だ。

エイブル（東京・新宿、牛山晴夫社長）は、東京女子医科大学先端生命医科学研究所との共同研究により、ヒトiPS細胞を培養液量1Lで浮遊攪拌できる技術を確立した。京都市で開催される第13回日本再生医療学会総会で、エイブル開発部課長代理の和田昌憲技術士（生物工学部門）が2014年3月4日に、この成果を発表する。
