新しい作用機序の糖尿病治療薬のSGLT−2阻害薬は国内で6品目が申請中である。田辺三菱製薬が創製したカナグリフロジンは米国で順調な市場導入となった。アステラス製薬は、糖尿病領域ではトップ製品を保有するMSDとの提携を発表した。

大日本住友製薬は2013年12月2日、iPS細胞を利用した再生医療に関してヘリオスと提携契約を締結した。ヘリオスが開発中の滲出型加齢黄斑変性を適応とするiPS細胞由来の網膜色素上皮細胞に関して最大52億円までの開発費用を負担するとともに、再生医療製品などを製造、販売するための新会社を共同で設立する。同社は11月29日に、神戸医療産業都市に再生細胞医療の研究拠点を開設することも発表している。一方のヘリオスの鍵本忠尚社長は、「日米で開発を進めるが、薬事法が改正されたことで日本の方が先になる。数年以内に他家網膜色素上皮細胞の治験開始を目指す」と語っている。

Tweet ▼自動で同期してくれるクラウドサービスは便利だけど、どれか一つに統一してないと、どこに同期させたのか分からなくなるという欠点があることに気づいた本日の打ち合わせ。
▼スーパーで卵のパックを見ていると、知らないお婆さんから「小さいわねえ」と話しかけられた。「ええ、小さくなりましたね。その割に値段が上がってる」と返すと、お婆さん曰く「１２月はケーキや色んなものに卵を使うからなのよ。ほら、これなんて本当に小さい。ヒヨコが産んだんじゃないのかしら」。
▼テレビ東京の「 Youは何しに日本へ？ 」を見てると、日本のコンテンツはもう「メイド」と「ニンジャ」しかないんじゃないかというふうに見える。
▼ロボット（に限らないかもしれないが）の方向性や商品企画の話を聞いていて、「欲しいから買う」と「必要だから買う」はまったく違うんだけどな、と思うことがある。開発者の人たちはなぜか、しばしば両方の区別ができなくなってるんじゃないかと感じることがある。
