エーザイの子会社である米Morphotek社は2013年6月25日、米Sarah Cannon研究所で「MORAb-066」のフェーズI試験のため、進行性または転移性の乳がん、膵臓がん、結腸直腸がん、および非小細胞肺がんを対象に患者登録を開始したと発表した。同試験はオープンラベル式で、MORAb-066を週1回静注投与する治療の安全性、忍容性、薬物動態特性を評価する。

改正労働契約法が2013年4月1日に施行された。これ以降に有期労働契約を2回以上更新して、5年以上雇用関係が続いた場合には、労働者から申し入れがあれば、無期労働契約に切り替えなくてはならない。雇用関係が途中で切れたとしても、6ヶ月以上の空白期間がないと、雇用期間として通算される。

がん研究会がん研究所がん生物部の大谷直子主任研究員と原英二部長ら14人の研究グループは、肥満になると1次胆汁酸を2次胆汁酸へ変換する腸内細菌が増加し、2次胆汁酸により肝星細胞の細胞老化が進み周囲の幹細胞の発がんが促進されることを見いだした。英Nature誌への掲載が決まり、同誌ONLINE版で2013年6月26日付（日本時刻6月27日）で発表した。
