米Thomson Reuters社の日本オフィスであるトムソン・ロイターは2013年6月21日、学術誌（ジャーナル）のインパクトファクター（IF）を提供する「Journal Citation Reports（JCR）」の2012年版を発行したことを発表した。

スティーブ・ジョブズの伝記映画『Jobs』の予告編が公開。
主演のアシュトン・カッチャーが、ジョブズ本人もやっていた「フルータリアン・ダイエット」を実施して病院に運ばれたり、晩年の風貌が激似だとか、でも スティーブ・ウォズニアックが酷評 したりと、何かと話題になっているこの映画。
予告編を見ると、少しワクワクする気持ちが湧いてきてしまいました。

米zuChem社は2013年6月17日、多価糖アルコール（polyols）のキシリトールとマンニトールのバイオ生産方法をカバーする米特許2件が米特許商標局（USPTO）より承認されたと発表した。「Methods for Production of Xylitol in Microorganisms」と題する特許（特許番号8,367,346）と「Process for producing D-Mannitol」と題する特許（特許番号8,338,147）。これら2件の特許成立は、豊富にある再生可能原料から天然食品甘味料を発酵生産するzuChem社の技術ポートフォリオを拡充させることになる。

Tweet 非常に安価で注目されている、Rethink Roboticsの上半身型のヒューマノイドロボット「Baxter」のデモ動画が YouTubeの公式チャンネル で続々アップロードされています。こちらでも紹介しておきます。
いまのところ公開されてる映像は簡単な動作ばかりですが。
それにしてもアップされてる動画の画質もバラバラです。
気軽にパッと撮って、ポンポンとアップしてる感じ。
日本企業もこのくらい気軽にアピールすれば良いのになと思います。
そのほか、 セットアップの様子 などもアップされてます。
