デンマークDako社は、同社のがんコンパニオン診断の開発方針を2013年6月19日に都内で開催されたデンマーク・ライフサイエンスセミナーで解説した。Dako社は2012年に米Agilent Technologies社に買収され、同社のDiagnostics and Genomics部門の長をDako社のLars Holmkvist社長が務めている。

Wellcome Trustなど、重症の脳感染症の患者から新規ウイルスを単離  from 日経バイオテクONLINE  (2013-6-20 9:00)

英Oxford University、英Wellcome Trust、オランダUniversity of Amsterdamの研究チームは2013年6月18日、ベトナムの重症の脳感染症の患者において新規のウイルスを同定したと発表した。このウイルスは、重症の脳感染症の患者644人のうち28人（約4％）で見つかった。一方、非感染性の脳障害患者122人からは全く検出されなかった。このウイルスが疾患の原因であるかどうかを調べるには更なる研究が必要だ。

理化学研究所の環境資源科学研究センター（CSRS）と社会知創成事業バイオマス工学研究プログラム（BMEP）は、環境・バイオマス試料の多角的な分析ツールを駆使して「土壌微生物生態系によるバイオマス分解・代謝評価法」を構築し、リグノセルロースの複雑な立体構造の違いが、土壌微生物群の共生による共代謝反応に大きな影響を与えることを見いだした。理研CSRS環境代謝分析研究チームの菊地淳チームリーダー（TL）と小倉立己大学院生リサーチアソシエイト、伊達康博特別研究員が、オープンアクセスのPLOS ONE誌で2013年6月19日（日本時刻6月20日）に発表した。
