米Mount Sinai医科大学、Seaver自閉症センターの研究チームは2013年6月11日、Phelan-McDermid症候群（PMS）と呼ばれる自閉症サブタイプにおける知能障害、運動障害、発語障害の重篤度に関連する新たなエビデンスを発表した。今後の研究や臨床ケアの指針の構築に寄与する成果だとしている。研究詳細はMolecular Autism誌6月11日号電子版で発表された。
