神戸大学医学部整形外科の黒田良祐准教授は2013年2月15日、神戸臨床研究情報センターで開催された「再生医療の実用化に関するニーズ発表会」にて、限局性関節軟骨損傷や難治性骨折を対象とした新しい再生医療の現状について講演した。

日本抗加齢医学会が2013年2月19日に六本木ヒルズ（東京・港）で開催したエディケイショナルセミナー「アンチエイジング医学最先端！2013」で、同学会の広報担当理事を務める森下竜一・大阪大学大学院医学系研究科臨床遺伝子治療学寄付講座教授が冒頭に「アンチエイジングトピックス」と題した発表を10分ほど行い、2月15日に開催された第2回規制改革会議における議論について紹介した。「サプリメントやヘルスケア用品の機能性表示制度をつくってもらえないかと提案した。来週月曜日（2月25日）に開催される第3回で、優先順位が決まる。厚生労働省との交渉はこれからだが、今回はかなり期待できそうだ」と、規制改革会議の委員15人のうちの1人である森下教授は話した。
