米National Biodiesel Board（NBB）は2013年1月23日、米環境保護庁（EPA）が1月中旬にリリースした2012年末の生産統計を基に、2012年の米バイオディーゼル生産量は2年続けて10億（1 billion）ガロンの大台を再び突破したと発表した。2012年の全生産量はほぼ11億ガロンで、2011年の生産量に比べ横ばいで600万ガロンだけ多かった。
