理化学研究所免疫・アレルギー科学総合研究センター免疫発生研究チームの河本宏チームリーダー（京都大学再生医科学研究所と兼務）らは、がん患者由来のキラーT細胞からヒト人工多能性幹細胞（iPS細胞）を作り、それを再び抗原認識能を持つT細胞に分化させることに成功した。得られた新しいT細胞の抗原認識能力は、元のT細胞と同じだった。効果の高いがんの免疫療法に応用できる可能性がある研究成果だ。2013年1月3日にCell Stem Cell誌オンライン版に発表した。
