米Ceres社は2012年11月26日、そのブラジル子会社であるCeres Sementes do Brasil社がスイスSyngenta社とブラジルにおいてスイートソルガム市場を共同で開発することで合意したと発表した。両社は共同で発酵用糖類の原料としてスイートソルガムをブラジルの400社以上のサトウキビからエタノールを生産している工場に紹介してゆく。
