理化学研究所基幹研究所ケミカルバイオロジー研究基盤施設の長田裕之施設長と本山高幸専任研究員らは、新しい抗がん剤の種となりうる化合物として注目されているテルペンドールEの糸状菌の生合成機構を解明し。米Chemistry and Biology誌2012年12月20日号で発表した。農業・食品産業技術総合研究機構（NARO）生物系特定産業技術研究支援センターのイノベーション創出事業などの支援を受けた研究の成果だ。

資生堂は、脱離電解噴霧イオン化質量分析イメージング（DESI-MSI）を用いて、美白有効成分の角層への浸透を画像としてとらえることに成功した。2012年12月20日に記者向けの説明会で発表した。粘着テープで肌の表面を試料として採取するテープストリッピングと組み合わせた手法を開発し、簡単に鮮明な画像を得られるようにした。

デンマークのGenmab社は2012年12月17日、次世代の抗体技術HexaBodyプラットフォームを発表した。HexaBodyプラットフォームは、新規の技術で、抗体が持つ標的殺傷能力を全く新規の手法でさらに一層亢進させることで、様々に異なる抗体療法の創出を可能とする。HexaBodyプラットフォームは、新規のさまざまに異なる抗体医薬品を創出したり、既存の抗体の効果を向上させたり、あるいは薬効が足りず臨床開発に失敗した候補品を再利用するために使われる。

米GE Healthcare社と米CDI社、iPS細胞ベースのアッセイ法特許のサブライセンスで合意  from 日経バイオテクONLINE  (2012-12-21 0:00)

米GE Healthcare Life Sciences社と米Cellular Dynamics International (CDI)社は2012年12月18日、GE Healthcare 社が、人工多能性幹(iPS)細胞をベースとした細胞アッセイモデルの開発、製造、販売権をCDI社にライセンスしたと発表した。これらは、新薬発見や、副作用のスクリーニングに利用される。米GE Healthcare Life Sciences社と米Geron社は先ごろ、Geron社が所有するiPS 細胞由来細胞アッセイ法にかかる知的所有権(IP)およびノウハウの世界市場における独占的権利に関する両社間の提携合意を拡張することで合意したと発表していた。Healthcare Life Sciences社は、GE Healthcare社の一部門である。CDI社は、iPS細胞由来のヒト細胞の世界最大の生産会社である。
