アステラス製薬は2012年12月11日、キザルチニブ(開発コード:AC220)のフェーズIIの結果を第54回米国血液学会年次総会で発表したことを公表した。キザルチニブは、選択的なFMS様チロシンキナーゼ-3(FLT3)阻害薬である。

糖転移ヘスペリジン・ビタミンP研究会の第4回研究発表会が2012年12月12日に大阪市で開催され、90人ほどが参加した。。糖転移ヘスペリジンは、2012年7月に伊藤園や大正製薬が相次ぎ、これを配合商品を中性脂肪高め対策の特定保健用食品(トクホ)として発売してヒット商品になるなど、注目度が高まっている。今回の研究発表会では、北海道大学大学院農学研究院の原博教授が消化管ホルモンGLP-1の分泌を刺激する作用、林原研究開発本部応用研究部がPPARγアゴニスト作用を介したオートファジー促進、愛知医科大学医学部生理学講座の西村直記講師が長時間椅座位による下腿部浮腫の軽減など、糖転移ヘスペリジンの新機能に関する発表が相次いだ。
