帯広畜産大学食品科学研究部門の大西正男教授と木下幹朗准教授、帯広大谷短期大学生活科学科の山崎民子教授らは、北海道十勝地方特産のナガイモが、高齢者における便通を改善し、腸内細菌叢を善玉菌有意の環境にすることを、ヒト試験で見いだした。札幌市で開催された日本食品科学工学会第59回大会で2012年8月30日にこの成果を発表した。これに続き大西教授らは、次世代シーケンサーを使った解析の成果を、2012年11月2日から3日に北海道大学農学部で開催される日本農芸化学会北海道支部平成24年度支部講演会の一般講演で発表する予定だ。

アミノ酸学会、アントシアニン研究会、サラシア属植物普及協会 　先週金曜日（2012年9月21日）に引き続き今週も「日経バイオテク/機能性食品メール」をお届けします。日経バイオテクONLINEアカデミック版編集長の河田孝雄です。 　今日は、千葉大学松戸キャンパスで開かれている日本アミノ酸学会第6回学術大会（JSAAS2012）を取材しています。 アミノ酸学会第6回学術大会で松戸に150人、テーマは「アミノ酸と炎症」 https://bio.nikkeibp.co.jp/article/news/20120928/163476/?ST=ffood 　ミニシンポジウム「SIトレーサブルなアミノ酸標準化を目指して」では、アミノ酸の標準物質に課題があったということを知りました。産業技術総合研究所などのここ数年の取り組みにより、来年ぐらいまでにかなり整備が進むようで何よりです。 　夕方のポスターセッションでも、大阪大学のリン酸化プロテオミクスや、九州大学の時間生物学など、おもしろい成果をうかがえました。追って記事に反映して参ります。
