米St. Jude Children's Research Hospitalおよび米Washington Universityの研究者らは、小児に起きる最も一般的な悪性脳腫瘍である髄芽腫のサブタイプに関する遺伝子と機能を発見した。さらにこれには、既に新薬開発の標的となっている遺伝子が関与していることも分かった。研究成果は、2012年6月20日付のNature誌オンライン版に掲載された。
