スイスRoche社は2012年6月11日、米食品医薬品局（FDA）が「Perjeta」（一般名：ペルツズマブ）と「Herceptin」（一般名：トラスツズマブ）、化学療法ドセタキセルを併用する治療を、HER2陽性悪性乳がん（mBC）で抗HER2治療や転移性がん向けの化学療法を受けたことがない患者の治療として承認したと発表した。

東海大学の高木敦司副医学部長/医学部教授らは、Lactobacillus gasseri OLL2716（ガセリ菌LG21）を含むヨーグルト（112g入り）を1日2個、ピロリ菌の除菌治療3週前から4週間摂取すると、3剤併用によるピロリ菌の1次除菌率を向上できることを、229人を対象にした臨床試験で確認した。特に、3剤のうちの1つであるクラリスロマイシンに耐性のピロリ菌に対する除菌率が高くなった。2012年6月8日に都内で開催された「プロバイオティクスシンポジウム2012?第15回記念国際シンポジウム?」（主催：日本プロバイオティクス学会）で発表した。2012年5月にオーストラリア発の専門ジャーナルGastroenterology Hepatology誌（インパクトファクター2.41）に論文発表した成果だ（J.Gastroenterol Hepatol. 2012 May.27(5):851-3）「この成果はまずは、より著名なジャーナルに投稿したが、3剤併用除菌療法の薬剤の投与量が日本は欧米と異なっている点や、市販のヨーグルトを利用した試験で比較対照にプラセボを使えなかったことから、エビデンスのレベルが（相対的に）低いと判断され掲載に至らなかった」と高木医学部長は話す。
