Tweet ▼新橋から汐留へ。Microsoftのクラウドプラットフォームサービスである、 Windows Azure の技術者向けイベントに取材に行った。ZMPのロボットカーが処理にAzureを使っているというデモをやるからだが、まあ、デモはデモだったなと。 ▼AzureはなぜWindowsクラウドとか、そんな感じの分かりやすい名前にしないんだろうか。 ▼会場に在りし日の「 Robot Watch 」の元編集者であるKさんもいた。二人とも喫茶店でお茶という性分ではないのだが、久々に会ったので、新橋でコーヒーを飲んでいろいろ雑談して、帰宅。 ▼アップルストアに注文していたMacBookAirが来た。注文から８日かかった。だがその現状は 別記事で書いた とおり。ちょっと残念。現状でも、まあ、普通に使えるんだけど。 ▼新刊。 『豪雨の災害情報学 増補版』（牛山素行／古今書院） [ amazon | 楽天 ] 『海の自然と災害』（宇野木早苗／成山堂書店） [ amazon | 楽天 ] 『有人潜水調査船しんかい6500　模型と写真で見る「しんかい6500」の活動と実績』（アスキー・メディアワークス） [ amazon | 楽天 ]

Tweet 待望のMacBookAirが来た！　だが、「 移行アシスタント 」でつまづいてしまった。 移行アシスタントはMacならではのアプリケーションで、これまで使っていたMacの環境をサクッと新しいMac上に復元してくれる有り難いものである。 アカウント情報やらデータ、アプリケーションなど丸ごと持って来てくれるので、これで移行してしまえば、新しいMacを馴染みのMacのように使うことができる。 また、以前私は「移行アシスタント」のおかげでHDDの破損から復旧できたことがある（ 2011.07.17 Mac「移行アシスタント」で（いちおう）復活 ）。こんな使い方もできる有り難いツールである。 ところが今回、これがうまくいかなかった。 移行先であるMacBookAirからは移行元であるMacBookが見える。だが、MacBook側からはMacBookAirが見えない。 何度やってもダメだった。ここでつまづいてしまう。 原因は分からないが、MacBookAirのOSが最新のLion（10.7.4）であるのに対して、MacBook側はSnowLreopard（10.6.8）であるのがいけないのかもしれない。 だが、本来問題なく移行してくれるはず、なのだが……。 取りあえず今はMacBookAirをいじりながら、どうし ...
