Tweet ▼android端末がやってきた。しばらくいじって遊ぶつもり。 ▼新刊。 『昭和前期の科学思想史』（金森修／勁草書房） [ bk1 | amazon | 楽天 ] ▼ナショナルジオグラフィック　 パンダが竹を食べる謎を解明 しかも、2009年にジャイアントパンダのゲノムが解析された際に、竹や草などに含まれる植物繊維であるセルロースの分解に働く既知の酵素に対応する遺伝子がないことが明らかになった。 　この結果から、研究者たちは、パンダの腸の中にはセルロースを食べて消化を助ける細菌がいるに違いないと推測した。しかしこれまで、パンダの腸内でそのような細菌を探す努力は成果を上げてこなかった。 　そこで今回発表された研究では、野生のパンダ7頭と飼育されているパンダ8頭の糞に含まれる遺伝子を調査対象にしたと、研究を率いた北京にある中国科学院動物研究所の魏輔文（Wei Fuwen）氏は話す。サンプルは、従来のパンダの糞の研究で用いられたものに比べてはるかに多かったという。 　魏氏らは、パンダの消化管内に、草食動物の腸内で見つかるものに似た細菌が実際に存在することを確認した。研究チームが ...
