▼立秋。今年初めてスイカを食べた。
▼『 火山と地震の国に暮らす 』（岩波書店）の感想というか、ついでにもろもろをメールで送った京大の鎌田先生からわざわざ電話を頂き、情報交換。地震も火山も全然終わったわけではないし、そもそも日本に住む限り終わることはないのだが、大きな地震が一つあったからもう終わったと思っている人たちが圧倒的に多いらしい。いろいろ頑張らないといけないなあと思った。

▼毎晩、テレビで原爆もの、戦争ものの番組を見ている。昨晩は新藤兼人 監督の映画「 石内尋常高等小学校 花は散れども 」を見て、今日はNHKの「 二度と原爆を使ってはいけない〜ナガサキを見た占領軍司令官〜 」を見た。ナチスを倒した自分たちの正義を信じていたビクター・デルノア米国陸軍中佐は、悔しかったのだろう。
