▼福島第一原発３号機にも人が入った、というニュースを見て京都へ。新幹線のなかで『新装版 原子炉解体 廃炉への道』（石川迪夫 編／講談社）を読了した。

▼初版刊行は１９９３年。原子炉の解体を楽しんで行った研究者による回顧録といった趣の本である。「楽しんで」というのは間違いではない。実際に本にそう書いてあるのだ。本文そのものにもその作業を楽しんで行った様子は存分に反映されている。確かに研究者にとっては楽しかったのだろう。
▼だが著者らも、まさか日本の商業炉の廃炉作業がこのようなかたちで始まるとは思っていなかったに違いない。福島第一原発は、現在はまだ廃炉どころか収束にも程遠い状況にある。廃炉作業においては「システム工学」も大いに活用され、その重要性が認識されたという。
