いじめで自殺した中学生のドキュメンタリーをテレビで見ました。番組の内容はおおむね見当がついていたものの、残された家族、特にまだ幼い弟が弔辞を読む姿には、やはり胸を打たれました。
ネットワーク技術が普及し始めた頃から予想されていたことですが、最近はケータイやＰＣ、そしてインターネットを使ったいじめも横行しているようです。
技術は人の幸福に寄与するためのものでしょう。であるならば本来は、技術を使われることで、いじめのような卑劣な行為が減少することを願いたいものです。しかしながら現実は、そして今日のITは、そのような方向には発展していないようです。むしろ、陰口をたたき合うことを助長しているようにすら感じることがあります。本当に残念なことですし、情報技術者はそのことにもっと関心を持ち、問題解決のために真剣に考察してもらいたいと思います。
そう、明らかにこれは問題の一つなのです。いじめとテクノロジーなど無関係だと言ってのける ...
