Tweet 「SPA!」2010年掲載 『 THE COD PIECE お股の袋の本 』 （沢渡朔、松岡正剛、三潴末雄、設楽洋、みうらじゅん、中野香織、会田誠、Minako Lowe 著　竹永茂生 監修　無双舎） 　男の股間を強調するお股の袋、コッドピース。コッドピースが活躍したのは15〜16世紀のいわゆる中世ルネッサンス期で、主に貴族が活用していた装飾袋だという。もともと左右別々に着用していたズボンの足が一体になるにつれて、そして騎士の台頭と武具の発達の過程で産まれて来たものであったらしい。 　現代日本人からはあまりに縁遠いこの代物について、蘊蓄を傾けるでもなく、ただ違和感を愛でた本が、この本である。股間のモッコリを分かりやすく強調するこのアイテムをデザインしろといわれたデザイナーたちは苦しみながら初めての体験とその過程を楽しみ、インタビューされた人たちもコッドピースから男のファッションや童貞などについて妄想を膨らませている。何しろ誰一人として詳しい人がいないのだ。想像は自由である。 　現代日本の視点では珍妙にしか見えないコッドピースだが、本書で松岡正剛が指摘するように、考えてみれば男のネクタイだって何のため ...
